an arrangement of The Escape Engine, originally written by Burning Airlines/J. Robbins

One of my all-time favorite songs by one of my all-time favorite guitarists/songwriters/human beings of…all-time. Arranged in a tuning I sincerely doubt it was written in, but ironically ended up being the same chord structure in that key as one of my finished songs. (His is much better!) Cycling through some more archived and unreleased covers this week in preparation for finishing EP #2, which taking a cue from the JP -> NA translations of Final Fantasy games, may end up being called EP #1 because of reasons.

After 12 hours of mixing I no longer recognize my own voice, and I think I can hear colors. May have to go-over levels again tomorrow, but seems relatively solid at the moment.

…Then again, blue.

So I hope you enjoy or give this a chance, or get into the original, as if you are unfamiliar with Mr. Robbins work in Jawbox, Burning Airlines, Govt. Mule, Rollkicker Laydown or the Office of Future Plans, or as an engineer on nearly every brilliant indie, punk or just general dischord album released in the last decade….well, you’re in for lots of treats.

and as always, information and methods of donating to his son’s continuing medical care, foundations, SMA research, etc. can be found @ http://callumrobbins.blogspot.com/
